Biography

Dr Nwafor Charles is a telephysioevangelist and biomedical science scholar with strong academic and research interests in digital health, telemedicine and AI-driven innovations in healthcare and medical education. His current interests include AI-assisted research workflows, remote monitoring and virtual care, digital learning platforms for physiology and biomedical sciences, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations between academia, industry, and policy to catalyse sustainable health innovation and capacity building.

He has extensive experience in teaching, academic mentorship and scholarly writing, especially in the medical and allied health sciences. His academic interests also cover translational biomedical research, with an increasing research interest in neuroendocrine and reproductive health issues, especially those studied using medicinal plants and animal models relevant to humans.

He displays special interest in experimental study design, disease induction models and the physiological mechanisms behind chronic and degenerative diseases.

Dr Nwafor has experience in developing high-quality assessment materials, including technically rigorous multiple-choice questions and practical-style examinations for undergraduate, postgraduate and professional health sciences students.

He is also an accomplished scientist with practical knowledge of manuscript writing and academic editing.

Outside academia, he is an advocate of innovation in medical education, capacity development for students, and ethical academic entrepreneurship, promoting legitimate ways of earning income and gaining skills among medical students and students of allied health sciences.

He is committed to promoting evidence-based medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a meaningful contribution to biomedical research and education in Nigeria and across the globe.
