Chioma Kasie Mbaekwe is a dedicated Academic, Microbiologist, and researcher currently serving as a Lecturer at the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Microbiology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). With several years of experience in academia, Chioma has established herself as a passionate educator committed to excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship. Her research interests are centered on environmental microbiology and related fields, with a focus on advancing scientific knowledge and developing practical solutions to environmental and public health challenges. Her academic contributions include several scholarly publications in reputable journals, reflecting her commitment to high-quality research and scientific advancement. Beyond the sciences, she is also a creative writer and musician, having released a musical album that showcases her artistic versatility. Chioma's pursuit of excellence began early in life when she won a national award in the Schools' Art and Essay Competition on Environmental Degradation: The Human Factor, organized by the Nigerian Bottling Company in collaboration with the National Conservation Agency.
