Engr. Boniface Ezea, M.Sc., B.Eng., COREN is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo Eno. He is a COREN-certified Civil Engineer with professional training in Project Management and extensive experience in academia, engineering consultancy, and professional practice.
His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Design of Steel Structures, and Engineering Valuation and Appraisal. He is committed to delivering quality engineering education that bridges theoretical concepts with practical applications.
Engr. Ezea served as the Pioneer Acting Head/Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Department at SUMAS, where he played a key role in establishing the department's academic and administrative foundation. His contributions include curriculum development, preparation of practical manuals, staff and student mentorship, and facilitation of laboratory equipment and learning resources.
Alongside his academic responsibilities, he actively engages in civil engineering consultancy, providing services in structural design, project management, engineering valuation, and construction practice. His research interests focus on structural engineering, infrastructure resilience, construction materials, and sustainable engineering solutions.
