Biography
Rev. Sr. Dr. Clementina Chinwe Okoye is a dedicated educator, administrator, and researcher with over two decades of professional experience in teaching, educational leadership, and academic service. She is currently a Lecturer at the State School of Medical and Applied Sciences, a position she has held since 2023, where she contributes to teaching, research, and student development.
Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Port Harcourt, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She later obtained a Master of Arts from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2025. Her research interests include Linguistics, Pragmatics, and Discourse Studies.
Before joining higher education, Rev. Sr. Dr. Okoye served as an English Teacher at Gregorian College, Nkpor (2017–2022). She also held several leadership positions within the Daughters of Divine Love educational institutions, including Principal of the Daughters of Divine Love Juniorate, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu, and Vice Principal for Special Duties. Earlier, she served as Principal of Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Amauju, Imo State, Head Teacher of Holy Infant International Group of Schools, Agbor, Delta State, and Spiritual Animator at Bishop Okoye Retreat and Conference Centre, Nkpor.
Her extensive experience in teaching, school administration, and pastoral formation demonstrates a lifelong commitment to educational excellence, leadership, character formation, and the holistic development of learners.
