Biography
Dr. Ugwu obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Zoology and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Zoology (Animal Physiology) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). She later earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Management and Control, specializing in Eco-Physiology, from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
Her research interests span phytomedicine, toxicology, zoology, physiology, eco-physiology, and biodiversity. She has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications in reputable journals, with studies focusing on the therapeutic potentials of medicinal plants, nephroprotection, hepatoprotection, and antitrypanosomal activities.
As an educator, Dr. Ugwu teaches courses in Biology, Zoology, Parasitology, and Genetics. She possesses expertise in data analysis, environmental impact assessment, project monitoring and evaluation, report writing, and research management
